Piotr Piluk “Unexplained Heritage”
Piotr Piluk is a photographer, a publicist, a documentarian and a Yiddishist, for numerous years realizing his project “Traces of a Presence” presenting Jewish relics in East Central European cities. He presented and published his photographs in various forms in Poland, Germany, England, Bulgaria, Sweden, The USA and Ukraine. In years 2007 – 2016 he was an editor of Polish department of “Słowo Żydowskie” (“Jewish Word”). He is a member of TSKŻ w Polsce (Social and Cultural Society of Jews in Poland). He regularly cooperates with Center for Urban History of East Central Europe in Lviv. He was a scholar of YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in New York in 2002 and 2003 and of Goethe Institut in Berlin in 2004 and 2005.
