During the fifth edition of Adlojada, its organizers took up the issue of profanation. The object of debates' participants interest were, among others, meaningful books which deal with various forms of blasphemy present in contemporary (and old) culture. Profanation was analysed in the aspect of various religions and cultures, including the local ones.
The aim of discussions was to pay attention to, among others, simplifications in reading the signs of culture which lead to strengthening ethnic stereotypes. The reflection on this issue is important from the point of view of continuous discussions on multiculturalism, memory and historical policy, present also in literature, film, art and philosophy.
